The ride is on a dairy farm. The cows will be fenced off but sometimes they will graze beside part of the ride.
Cows are inquisitive animals & might come over to where you are riding.
A new 3 mile ride for horses & ponies through fields & woodland in Malpas, Cheshire.

Starting off from the farm yard, you can ride through the fields and woods on a roped off track. The ride is best suited to walking & trotting but some areas are suitable for faster exercise, dependent on the ground condition.
All of the ride is on flat grassland or a track in the woods : there are no artificial surfaces.
Livestock.
Riders have a choice of riding through the woods or staying on the field ride beside the woods .
The woods are a more varied ride but there are hazards like tree roots which can be hard to see.
The trail is beside steeply sloping ground in places. These slopes are blocked off by fencing but are still accessible if horses leave the trail and could be hazardous.
Woodland Trail
To make sure the ride is right for your horse, we recommend you walk the woods and circuit first and get familiar with the ground.
You are welcome to walk any day between 8am and 8pm. No booking to walk is needed ( just turn up & park in the yard ) Takes around 1 hour.
Please keep to the route from 'Start'. NB Dogs must be ON A LEAD at all times.

Park your trailer anywhere in the yard as you enter from the road.
Just saddle up, and go when ready.
Water and a Porta Loo are by the parking.

Riding is by pre booking on this website anytime before arriving .

Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult.
The ride is open 7 days a week - £20 per rider
April to Sept 7am till 7pm. Oct to Mar 8 am till 4 pm.

Consequently the woods may not be suited to a wilful ride.
Riders should be sure the woodland part of the trail is suitable for their mount.
If in doubt, simply stay on the field ride or dismount whilst checking the woodland trail first time.
